I’m Mary Lou Bernardo.  If you want to get formal, my name is Marie Louise Bernardo.  If you want to get very formal, I’m Marie Louise Bernardo, PhD, MSN.  The PhD is in psychology (also a Master’s Degree in psychology).  The MSN stands for Master’s of Science in Nursing.  The psychology degrees are from Columbia University and the nursing degree is from Yale University.  My undergraduate degree is from Central Connecticut State University.

So, I’m a licensed psychologist and a registered nurse.  I have clinical experience in both psychology and nursing (mostly pediatric nursing).  I held a faculty appointment at the Yale School of Nursing for a number of years.

What is WritePhD?  Write PhD is the name of my healthcare writing company.  I’ve been a healthcare writer and editor, part-time and full-time, for over ten years (almost 15, actually).
